This is a companion recording to the book Drum Circle Grooves. Although created as a play along to a book these tracks are actually great practice tracks on their own even without the book.
One section of the book includes 25 individual rhythm patterns called Drum Circle Grooves. What makes a rhythm a Drum Circle Groove? Community drum circles usually consist of players with various degrees of playing ability. Drum circle grooves are rhythms that are complicated enough to be interesting for the more accomplished players while at the same time are simple enough that beginners can still follow along with the basic underling pattern (the groove). For example a rhythm pattern could be played with a variety of different drum tones to make it interesting for the advance player but the basic rhythm pattern could also be played with just one or two tones and still be following the groove.
